About 50 potstickers
INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground pork 1 egg, lightly beaten 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil 3 scallions, chopped 2 tablespoons Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce 1 package round fresh wonton wrappers 1 cup peanut oil 1-7 oz bottle Sweet Red Chili Sauce
DIRECTIONS
- Fit food processor with steel blade.
- Put pork, egg, salt, basil, scallions and Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce into food processor.
- Pulse for 30 seconds or until well blended.
- Place filling in a bowl.
- Being sure to work on a clean, dry surface, lay six wrappers on counter.
- Moisten edges of wrapper with water.
- Place 3/4 teaspoon of filling in middle of wrapper.
- Fold top over. Crimp edges, sealing well so that it looks like a half circle.
- Repeat with remaining mixture, making sure to keep surface area dry to prevent sticking.
- In a large skillet, heat peanut oil over medium high heat.
- Fry on both sides until very golden brown, about 30 seconds on each side.
- Drain on a paper towel.
- Serve hot with Sweet Red Chili Sauce.
