Beef with Garlic Basil Coconut Rice

A Taste of Thai Garlic Basil Coconut Rice adds wonderful flavor to this delicious beef stir-fry.

Ingredients

  • 1-6.7 oz box A Taste of Thai Garlic Basil Coconut Rice
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 1/4 lbs sirloin tip steak
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 8 oz sugar snap peas
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1-8 oz package sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon A Taste of Thai Fish Sauce
  • 1/2 cup rough chopped basil

Directions

  1. Prepare Garlic Basil Coconut Rice according to box directions.
  2. Meanwhile salt and pepper steak, slice onion into crescents and stem peas. Set aside.
  3. Add oil to a large skillet and heat over a medium-high heat. Brown steak on each side, cooking to rare and remove to plate.
  4. Add onion, mushrooms and Fish Sauce to skillet. Stir-fry until onions are almost wilted. Add reserved sugar snap peas and stir-fry 1-2 minutes.
  5. Slice steak across grain and add to skillet with accumulated juices. Add cooked rice and basil. Toss to combine and serve.

In This Recipe
