Thai Vegetable Relish

This is a zero fat recipe and is delicious as a condiment on burgers or sandwiches. It gets its heat from jalapeño peppers and A Taste of Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce.


  • 1 large tomato, seeded and diced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers, minced*
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons A Taste of Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon A Taste of Thai Fish Sauce
  • Salt
  • *Note: For less heat, remove seeds from the jalapeño peppers.


  1. In medium bowl, combine tomato, red bell pepper, basil, jalapeño peppers, garlic, rice vinegar, Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce, Fish Sauce and salt to taste.
  2. Mix well and refrigerate until serving.

Thais use Fish Sauce the way other cultures use soy sauce. Its savory and salty flavors are perfect for stir-frys, curries, marinades and dressings.
