This pretty dish is infused with citrus, heat, herbs and the salty flavors so typical of Thai food. Our Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce adds a balanced spiciness.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup lime juice, fresh squeezed
- 3 tablespoons Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce*
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons Fish Sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced thinly
- 3 bell peppers, 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green, sliced thinly
- 1 cup coarsely chopped fresh basil leaves
Directions
- Add lime juice, Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce, soy sauce, cornstarch, and sugar to a small bowl. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
- Heat oil, Fish Sauce and garlic in a large skillet over a medium-high heat until garlic begins to brown. Add chicken and stir-fry until barely cooked.
- Add peppers and reserved sauce. Stir-fry until sauce is thickened and chicken is cooked. Remove from heat and stir in basil. Serve.
In This Recipe
Thais use Fish Sauce the way other cultures use soy sauce. Its savory and salty flavors are perfect for stir-frys, curries, marinades and dressings.
