Chili Pepper Lemon Honey Glazed Chicken

Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce balances the lemon and honey with a bit of heat.

Ingredients

  • 4-4 1/2 lbs roasting chicken
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (7-8 large lemons)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons A Taste of Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Rinse chicken and pat dry. Salt and pepper inside cavity. Place chicken in baking dish. Set aside.
  3. In saucepan, whisk together lemon juice, honey and Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce.
  4. Bring to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour sauce over top of chicken. Salt and pepper skin.
  6. Bake until done or 165° F on a meat thermometer, about 1 1/2 hours, basting frequently.
  7. Let chicken rest 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with sauce.
