Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce balances the lemon and honey with a bit of heat.
Ingredients
- 4-4 1/2 lbs roasting chicken
- Salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (7-8 large lemons)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons A Taste of Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Rinse chicken and pat dry. Salt and pepper inside cavity. Place chicken in baking dish. Set aside.
- In saucepan, whisk together lemon juice, honey and Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce.
- Bring to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Pour sauce over top of chicken. Salt and pepper skin.
- Bake until done or 165° F on a meat thermometer, about 1 1/2 hours, basting frequently.
- Let chicken rest 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with sauce.
