A Taste of Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce gives this simple stir-fry a bit of heat.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons A Taste of Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce
- 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined (medium or large)
- 2 tablespoons peanut oil
- 1 bunch scallions, chopped (white and green parts separated)
- 1 red bell pepper, julienned (thin slices)
- 1-15 oz can whole kernel corn, drained
- 2 teaspoons A Taste of Thai Fish Sauce
- 2 tablespoons lime juice, fresh squeezed
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 cup julienned basil
- Cooked A Taste of Thai Jasmine Rice or Rice Noodles
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce with shrimp. Mix well and set aside until ready to use.
- In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium high heat.
- Sauté white parts of scallions and red peppers for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add shrimp, corn and Fish Sauce. Sauté 2 to 3 minutes or until the shrimp is just cooked through.
- Stir in lime juice, brown sugar and adjust seasonings by adding more fish sauce if necessary.
- Stir in basil and serve over Jasmine Rice or Rice Noodles. Garnish with scallion greens.
