A Taste of Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce gives this simple stir-fry a bit of heat.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons A Taste of Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined (medium or large)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 bunch scallions, chopped (white and green parts separated)
  • 1 red bell pepper, julienned (thin slices)
  • 1-15 oz can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 2 teaspoons A Taste of Thai Fish Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice, fresh squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup julienned basil
  • Cooked A Taste of Thai Jasmine Rice or Rice Noodles

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce with shrimp. Mix well and set aside until ready to use.
  2. In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium high heat.
  3. Sauté white parts of scallions and red peppers for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add shrimp, corn and Fish Sauce. Sauté 2 to 3 minutes or until the shrimp is just cooked through.
  5. Stir in lime juice, brown sugar and adjust seasonings by adding more fish sauce if necessary.
  6. Stir in basil and serve over Jasmine Rice or Rice Noodles. Garnish with scallion greens.
