A Taste of Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce adds a spicy contrast to this sweet and sour cabbage dish.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 large onion, cut into crescents
- 2 cups thinly sliced red cabbage
- 6 cups thinly sliced green cabbage (savoy)
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons A Taste of Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.
- Sauté onion and red cabbage until onion begins to soften.
- Add green cabbage. Sauté until wilted.
- While the cabbage is sautéing, whisk sugar, vinegar, Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce and salt in a small bowl. Add to skillet and stir until incorporated. Simmer 1-2 minutes and serve.
